Tina + Rob: Happily Ever After

We got a little cozy with Tina & Rob during their engagement shoot not too long ago. So it was great to see them tie the knot. Added bonus was doing it Athens, which is a great little town. What a great, fun, classy group of people to spend the day with.

Tiffany + Joseph: It’s Official

You ever run across someone and say to yourself “These are just good people. I know they are going to be happy for a long time”? That is how we felt after meeting with Tiffany and Joe. We had a blast doing their engagement session and knew that their wedding would be fun as well. And they certainly did not disappoint us. We have been on a great streak of luck to share some wonderful moments with really fantastic people.

The Engagement Album

Sue + Chad: Celebration!

The only bone we have to pick with Chad & Sue is that they got married in Hawaii… without us! Other than that, we can’t really say anything bad about these two, or their wonderful family & friends who came out to Ray’s House in Hampton to celebrate their recent marriage. One thing was clear after meeting Chad & Sue. They are all class. What a great couple and what an awesome reception, with just enough southern splash on a cool evening to set the party off just right.

Jennifer + TJ: Hitched!

It was fun shooting Jennifer & TJ’s engagement session at the Montaluce Winery & Estates. And after that brief time taking some photos, it was obvious that the wedding was going to be a big party. The stage was a beautiful beach home in South Carolina, a home which we could have easily just moved right into and stayed permanently! We are thankful to have been able to share yet another special day with friends. We just wish we could have tagged along on the honeymoon to see Italy too!

Southern Weddings Magazine: Gooder Than Grits

As photographers, we draw inspiration from a variety of sources. Magazines play a big role in that inspiration as it helps us keep up with trends, gain new insight into ideas for shoots, and just helps spark additional creativity in general. Southern Weddings Magazine is certainly a publication that we look to.

In their previous issue, we really enjoyed the layout about rings. It challenged us to do something more creative with the rings than what we had been doing in the past. Something fun and with personality, much like the magazine. Not wanting to duplicate what we had already seen in the magazine, we set out to do our own thing. The fine folks were not only receptive to what we showed them, but they decided to run it in their magazine. It is quite an honor for us to be included for that very reason. The magazine is tops and clearly designed with a creative and keen eye, adding in a bit of class, humor, and fun. Thank you for allowing us to be a part.

And here is the Wall-E shot. Remember Christina & Dustin’s wedding? They had a great story in that their first date was to see Wall-E. I believe they saw it several times! After hearing that, it just seemed like a fun idea. Thank you Southern Weddings Magazine for the inspiration you provide.

Jenn + Jeff: Time to Party!

Jennifer & Jeff recently tied the knot over at Merle Manders and we had no idea what we were in for! Wedding are always such a great and special event and we are lucky to share such happy moments with others. However, we have rarely seen a bridal party go to such great lengths to make this wedding day so special. It was great trying to keep up with the group as they had so many tricks up their sleeves. In so many ways, that is what it is all about. The evening was covered with smiles and laughter, the occasional tear, and one heck of a party.

Christina + Dustin: The Countdown is Over!

One of the few things better than the actual wedding day itself, is getting a glimpse into the life of the bride and groom, especially their excitement about their future together. Christina & Dustin could teach a class on that. Seeing them literally count down day by day to the big event was just as meaningful to us. So on “Day Zero”, with cameras in hand, we found ourselves fortunate enough to share another special day with another amazing couple.

Lastly, this is just something that we have so much fun doing. Christina and Dustin shared that their first date was at the movies, where they say Wall-E. Not once, but three times! So this image just seemed fitting for them. Best of luck you two!

Audrey + Jonathan: Congrats Newlyweds!

We were pretty lucky to shoot Audrey and Jonathan’s engagement photos. We found out quick what an awesome couple they were. It was great to let a couple just be themselves while we happened to take a few shots. After that, we just knew the wedding would be fun, and it was. This is just one cool couple, period. Here are some of our favorite shots from the day.

Caitlin + Daniel

In looking at the photos, you would never know that this entire family came from all over the US to make Caitlin & Daniel’s special day. Hugs, smiles, laughter, and tears were shared, with no shortage of laughter, making our job even better. We wish them only the best for their future and were honored to have shared a small part of such an important day in their lives. Naturally we have to give Caitlin some extra love for not only hanging in there while we shot outside in some pretty cold weather, but also offering her jacket to a pair of freezing photographers! ;-)
